A Bowie, Md. man was fatally shot shortly before midnight Friday in Northeast DC, the Washington Post reports.
The Post identifies the man as 38-year-old Tracy Lamont Day.

The fatal shooting occurred about 11:10 p.m. in the 700 block of Langston Terrace NE, about two blocks north of Benning Road. Police had few immediate details, but said the victim was pronounced dead at a hospital. He was identified as Tracy Lamont Day, 38.

Homicide: 700 Block of Langston Terrace, Northeast
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a fatal shooting which occurred in the 700 block of Langston Terrace, Northeast.
On Friday, August 23, 2013 at approximately 11:12 pm, patrol officers from the Fifth District responded to the 700 block of Langston Terrace, Northeast for the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent is identified as 38 year-old Tracy Lamont Day of Bowie, Maryland.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
