The victim of a quadruple shooting in Northwest DC overnight has been identified as 32-year-old Delonta Hendrix of Northwest.
MPD said in a press release Thursday afternoon that officers responding to the sound of gunshots found Hendrix shot in the 1100 block of 1st Street, NW. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Three other adult males were also injured. One was shot in the lower body, another in the leg, and a third in the arm, MPD said.

Multiple Shooting: 1100 Block of 1st Street, NW
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a shooting in which 4 victims were struck by gunfire in the 1100 block of 1st Street, NW. Three of the victims suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds and one victim was fatally wounded.
On Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at approximately 11:56 pm, officers from the First District responded to the area of 1100 block of 1st Street, NW for the sounds of gunshots. Upon their arrival, they located an unconscious adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds in the 100 block of Pierce Street, NW. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where he was pronounced.
Three additional victims were located. An adult male was located in the 1100 block of 1st Street, NW suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment. A second adult male was located in the 100 block of Pierce Street, NW suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. A third victim, an adult male who suffered from a gunshot wound to the forearm, was transported to an area hospital by a friend.
The decedent is identified as 32 year-old Delonta Hendrix of Northwest, Washington, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
