A shooting Saturday night in Southeast D.C. killed 23-year-old William Deon Howard, police said in a statement Sunday.
Howard and a woman were found with gunshot wounds in the 3000 block of Stanton Road Southeast. The woman was transported to a local hospital in stable condition, the statement said. Howard was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide & Assault with Intent to Kill: 3000 Block of Stanton Road, SE
(Washington, DC)- The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 3000 block of Stanton Road, SE.
On Saturday, October 26, 2013, at approximately 11:14 pm, units from the Seventh District responded for the report of a shooting in the 3000 block Stanton Road, Southeast, Washington, DC. Upon arrival, members located an adult female and an adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the adult female victim to a local hospital where she was admitted in stable condition. The adult male victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
The decedent is identified as 23-year-old William Deon Howard of Southeast, Washington, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
