Week Ahead

Each week, Homicide Watch brings you a list of upcoming hearings in the cases we follow. All hearings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted. To add an item to the listing, email homicidewatch [at] gmail.com. To see scheduled court hearings beyond next week, see our calendar.

On Monday, Andrew Wesley Williams‘ trial is scheduled to begin with Judge Ronna Beck. Williams is suspected in the May 14, 2011 shooting death of 30-year-old Junon Tyree Snead.

Deonte Bryant and Terrance Bush have trials scheduled to begin with Judge John Johnson. Bryant and Bush are suspected in the June 25, 2011 shooting death of 43-year-old Robert Foster Jr.

Keir Johnson’s and Lester Williams‘ trials are scheduled to resume with Judge Lynn Leibovitz. Johnson and Williams are suspected in the Sept. 28, 2010 shooting death of 21-year-old Jamal R. Coates.

Wednesday, Deangelo Williams is expected for a status hearing with Judge Herbert Dixon. Williams is charged with first-degree murder while armed, assault and related weapons offenses in connection with the Feb. 19, 2011 shooting death of 18-year-old Lucki Nancy Pannell.

Thursday, Sosefina Amoa is expected for a preliminary hearing with Judge Robert Morin. Amoa is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Oct. 11 death of her infant son.

Albrecht Muth is expected for a trial readiness hearing with Judge Russell Canan. Muth is charged with first-degree murder with aggravating circumstances in the death of his 91-year-old wife Viola Herms Drath, who was found on August 12, 2011 beaten and strangled in her own home.

Judge Leibovitz is expecting two cases: Delrico Shuford is expected for a status hearing. Shuford pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter while armed and conspiracy in connection with the death of Tyrell Fogle.

Khari Williams is expected for a status hearing. Williams is suspected in the Dec. 30, 2012 shooting death of 23-year-old Angelo Payne.

Judge Dixon is expecting Carlos Parks and Troy Robinson for felony status conferences. Parks and Robinson are suspected in the June 24 shooting death of 25-year-old Tywayne Thompson.

Friday, Judge Beck is expecting seven cases: Peter Hendy is expected for sentencing. Hendy pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in connection with the Aug. 5 death of 4-year-old Kamari Zavon Taylor.

Rico Carr and Robert Crowder are expected for preliminary hearings. Carr and Crowder are suspected in the Nov. 22, 2010 stabbing death of 19-year-old Kelvin Jamal Willis.

Cydrisse Alvin is expected for a trial readiness hearing. Alvin pleaded innocent to a charge of first-degree premeditated murder while armed in connection with the June 4, 2012 stabbing death of her 28-year-old neighbor, Amber Lynette Kent.

Byron Dunn and Marquette Tibbs are expected for status hearings. Dunn and Tibbs are suspected in the Nov. 4, 2012 shooting death of 22-year-old Andre Jackson.

Dianna Lalchan is expected for a felony status conference. Lalchan is charged with voluntary manslaughter while armed in connection with the March 28 death of her 36-year-old husband Christopher Lalchan.

Judge Canan is expecting two cases: Donte Graves is expected for a status hearing. Graves pleaded innocent to a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the Feb. 25 shooting death of 22-year-old Tyrone Joyner.

Ercell Overton is expected for a mental observation hearing. Overton is suspected in the June 4 shooting death of 59-year-old Solomon James Okoroh.

Judge Dixon is expecting two cases: Demonta Chappell is expected for a status hearing. Chappell pleaded innocent to first-degree premeditated murder while armed in connection with the Oct. 27, 2012 shooting death of 26-year-old Stevann Moorer.

Antoine Little is expected for a status hearing. Little is suspected in the June 25, 2012 stabbing death of 53-year-old James Eric Cain.

Judge William Jackson is expecting Kevin Benbow for a felony status conference. Benbow is suspected in the Nov. 7, 2010 shooting death of 42-year-old Jinnell Barbara McQueen.

James Brown is expected for a status hearing with Judge Morin. Brown pleaded innocent to a first-degree premeditated murder while armed charge in connection with the Dec. 29, 2012 shooting death of 22-year-old Darnell Rivers.
