A 26-year-old Southeast DC man was arrested Monday on suspicion of second-degree murder while armed in connection with the August 2012 shooting death of Antwan Boseman.
Police identified the suspect as Andre Burks.
Boseman was one of two people shot in the 800 block of Barnaby Street Southeast on August 4, 2012. The other shooting victim survived.

Arrest Made in Homicide: 800 Block of Barnaby Street, SE
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the homicide which occurred in the 800 block of Barnaby Street, SE.
On Saturday, August 4, 2012, at approximately 2:13 am units from the Seventh District responded for the report of a double shooting. Upon arrival, they located two victims who were suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded and transported both victims to a local area hospital. The first victim was pronounced dead by a member of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The second victim was admitted to a local hospital.
The decedent is identified as 24 year-old Antwan Boseman of Southeast, Washington, DC.
On Monday, December 30, 2013, members of the Major Violators Section, Fugitive Unit arrested 26-year-old Andre Burks of Southeast, Washington, DC pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with Second Degree Murder while Armed in connection to the death of Antwan Boseman.
