A DC man was arrested in Yonkers, New York yesterday in connection with the 2011 stabbing death of 48-year-old George White.
Police said William Sony Hunt, 57, is suspected of second-degree murder while armed in connection with the case.
A warrant was issued for Hunt a little more than two years ago.

Arrest Made in 2011 Homicide: 400 Block of Newcomb Street, SE
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the fatal stabbing which occurred in the 400 block of Newcomb Street, SE.
On Friday, May 20th, 2011 at approximately 1:45 pm, units from the Seventh District responded to the 400 block of Newcomb Street, SE. Upon their arrival they found an adult male victim who was unconscious, unresponsive, and suffering from stab wounds to the body. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene by a member of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia.
The decedent is identified as 48 year-old George White of Southeast, DC.
On Friday, January 31, 2014, 57 year-old William Sony Hunt of Southeast, DC was arrested in Yonkers, New York, by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with Murder Two while Armed in the stabbing death of George White.
