On Tuesday,
Opening arguments are expected to begin in the trial charging David and Montez Warren with the May 2011 shooting death of Ervin Lamont Griffin.
The trial of Jashua Johnson is scheduled to begin before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Johnson is charged with the shooting death of 22-year-old Davon Brown. In July 2012, police found Brown lying on the sidewalk of the 2300 block of Green Street Southeast; he died on the scene from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The government will resume its case in the trial charging Keir Johnson and Lester Williams with the shooting death of 21-year-old Jamal Coates before Judge Lynn Leibovitz.
On Wednesday,
Antonio Shaw is scheduled for a preliminary hearing with Judge John Ramsey Johnson. Shaw is charged with second-degree murder in connection with June 2013 stabbing death of 17-year-old Earnest Hart.
On Thursday,
Lamonte Perry, 22, and Marquette Tibbs, 22, are scheduled for a status hearing at 9:45 a.m. before Judge Rhonda Winston. Perry and Tibbs were arrested in connection with the November 2012 shooting death of Andre Jackson.
On Friday,
Andre Burks is scheduled for a preliminary hearing at 3:15 p.m. with Judge Rhonda Winston. Burk, 26, is charged with second-degree murder while armed in connection with the August 2012 shooting death of 23-year-old Antwan Boseman.
Sosefina Amoa is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Judge Robert Morin. Amoa is accused of killing her newborn child.
Cydrisse Alvin is scheduled for sentencing with Judge Ronna Beck at 11:00 a.m. for the stabbing death of 28-year-old Amber Lynette Kent. Jurors deliberated for two days before announcing their verdict that Alvin was guilty of felony murder.
Grant Johnson is scheduled to be sentenced at 2 p.m. by Judge Herbert Dixon. Johnson, 37, was convicted by a jury in October 2013 of first-degree premeditated murder while armed, second-degree murder while armed, armed robbery and related weapons offenses in connection with the shooting death of 32-year-old Ricardo Lancaster.
Jeffrey Mills is scheduled to be sentenced at 11:00 a.m. by Judge John Ramsey Johnson for voluntary maslaughter while armed and carrying a dangerous weapon during crime of violence. 50-year-old Mills was convicted by a jury in November of beating Juan Antonio Paredes, 45, with a barbell. Paredes later died of his injuries at a local hospital.
Don Page is scheduled for a felony status hearing before Judge Rhonda Winston. Page is suspected of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Quentin Lavar White.
Jamar Delante George is scheduled for a trial readiness hearing at 11:00 a.m. before Judge John Ramsey Johnson. George is charged with first-degree murder while armed in connection with the shooting death of 20-year-old Ronnie Speight. An autopsy revealed that Speight suffered 11 gunshot wounds; he was found dead in an alley in Northeast DC.
James Brown is scheduled for a status hearing at 10:30 a.m. before Judge Robert Morin. Brown was charged in November 2013 with first-degree premeditated murder while armed, obstruction of justice, tampering with evidence, accessory to murder after the fact, and related weapons offenses in connection with the 2012 shooting death of 22-year-old Darnell Rivers.
Raymond Faunteroy is scheduled for a trial readiness hearing at 11:00 a.m. before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Faunteroy was charged in December 2012 with first-degree murder while armed and two weapons charges in connection with the shooting death of Derrick Ragland.
Stefon Kirkpatrick is scheduled for a felony status hearing before Judge Rhonda Winston. Prosecutors charged Kirkpatrick with stabbing and killing his 22-year-old girlfriend, Julisa Brittney Washington.
