A 24-year-old Southeast DC man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of 17-year-old Jonathon Adams.
The man, identified by police as Jibril Abdul-Muwwakil, is suspected of second-degree murder while armed.

Arrest Made in Homicide: 4300 Block of Halley Terrace, SE
(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the homicide which occurred in the 4300 block of Halley Terrace, SE.
On Thursday, February 27, 2014, at approximately 5:14 pm, members of the Seventh District responded to a call for the report of a man down in the 4300 block of Halley Terrace, SE. Upon arrival, they located a juvenile male suffering from an apparent stab wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived on the scene and transported him to a local hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The decedent is identified as 17 year-old Jonathon Adams of Southwest, Washington, DC.
On Friday, February 28, 2014, at approximately 3:18 pm, 24 year-old Mr. Jibril Abdul-Muwwakil of Southeast, Washington DC, was arrested by members of the Homicide Branch and charged with Second Degree Murder While Armed in the stabbing death of Jonathon Adams.
