A woman was shot and killed in an apartment complex in Northeast DC Thursday night, according to media reports.
The woman, who has not been identified, was found shot at about 8:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Jay Street Northeast.

At the scene they found a woman in her early twenties in the courtyard area of an apartment complex. Police say she had been shot once in abdomen.
The death was the second reported homicide of the night. Just three hours earlier, a teen was fatally shot in Southeast DC.
