Update: MPD has identified the victim in this case as 36-year-old Elike Rahmon Richardson of Southeast. Richardson’s first name was previously misstated. A corrected press release from MPD has been added to the bottom of this post.

A Tuesday night stabbing in the 4400 block of C Street, Southeast killed 36-year-old Elike Rahmon Richardson of Southeast, according to MPD press officer Ariz Alali.

According to media reports, police are looking for four suspects and no arrests have been made at this time.

According to officials, officers were called to the 4400 block of C Street SE for the report of an assault at 9:16 p.m. Tuesday. They found a man in his late 20s or early 30s stabbed, unconscious and not breathing. He later died.

Police are investigating the stabbing as a homicide. They are looking for four suspects. They did not have detailed descriptions of those suspects.

Reports the Washington Post:

Officer Araz Alali, a police spokesman, identified the victim as Elite Richardson, 36, of Southeast. Alali said that no arrest has been made and that no motive has been determined.

Homicide: 4400 Block of C Street, Southeast

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 4400 block of C Street, Southeast.

On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at approximately 9:10 pm, police officers from the Sixth District responded to a call for the report of an aggravated assault. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from apparent stab wounds. The decedent has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

The decedent has been identified as 36-year-old Elike Rahmon Richardson of Southeast, DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
