Anthony Williams, 25, Killed Saturday in SE D.C. Shooting

A shooting in the 200 block of Savannah Street Southeast killed 25-year-old Anthony Williams early Saturday morning, according to MPD.

Police officers responding to a call for a shooting at approximately 12:14 a.m. found Williams suffering from multiple gunshot wounds with no signs consistent with life.

Homicide: 200 Block of Savannah Street, SE

(Washington DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 200 block of Savannah Street, Southeast.

On Saturday, July 26, 2014, at approximately 12:14 am, officers from the Seventh District responded to a call for a shooting in the 200 block of Savannah Street, Southeast. Upon their arrival, an adult male was located suffering from apparent multiple gunshot wounds. Personnel from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and determined there were no signs consistent with life. . The decedent’s remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death.

The decedent has been identified as 25-year-old Anthony Williams of Southeast, Washington DC.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
