A shooting in the 5200 block of Clay Street Northeast killed 26-year-old Titus Jackson Thursday evening, according to MPD.
Police officers responding to the sound of gunshots at approximately 6:10 p.m. located Jackson. According to the Washington Post, police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Homicide in the 5200 block of Clay Street NE
( Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 5200 block of Clay Street, NE. On Thursday, September 11, 2014 at approximately 6:10 pm members of the Sixth District responded to a call for the sounds of gunshots/man down. Upon arrival, they located the victim 26-year-old Titus Jackson of Northeast, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
