Lennard Sweeney, 23, was arrested Friday on suspicion of first degree felony murder while armed in the death of Edward Eugene Hall Jr, police said Saturday.
Hall, 38, died from on Sept. 10 a stab wound the night before. He was found at approximately 11:07 pm, Sept. 9, at the intersection of 1st and Brandywine Streets Southeast.

Arrest Made in Homicide: 1st and Brandywine Streets, Southeast
(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced an arrest has been made in the stabbing death of 38-year-old Edward Eugene Hall Jr., which occurred on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at approximately 11:07 pm, at the intersection of 1st and Brandywine Streets, Southeast.
On Friday, September 19, 2014, members of the Seventh District arrested 23-year-old Lennard Sweeney of Southwest, DC, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant charging him with First Degree Felony Murder while Armed in the death of Edward Eugene Hall Jr.
