Ellis Alphonso Anderson, 45, died in a shooting in the 1200 block of Brentwood Road Northeast, police say.
Anderson, of Northeast D.C., was found just after 10 p.m. with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital, according to police.

Homicide: 1200 Block of Brentwood Road, Northeast
(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 1200 block of Brentwood Road, NE.
On Saturday, October 25, 2014, at approximately 10:10 pm, officers from the Fifth District responded to a call for a shooting in the 1200 block of Brentwood Road, NE. Upon arrival, they located an adult male victim in the 1200 block of Brentwood Road, NE suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
The decedent has been identified as 45-year-old Ellis Alphonso Anderson, of Northeast, Washington, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
