A stabbing Monday night left 53-year-old James Byron Davis dead, MPD announced Tuesday. His nephew, Davon Davis, was arrested on scene.
Police found 53-year-old Davis suffering from multiple stabs wounds in the 5000 block of Just Street Northeast at approximately 9:20 p.m. Monday night. Davis was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.
The 23-year-old Davis is suspected of second-degree murder while armed.

Arrest Made in the Homicide: 5000 Block of Just Street, Northeast
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the fatal stabbing which occurred in the 5000 block of Just Street, Northeast.
On Monday, November 17, 2014, at approximately 9:20 pm, police officers from the Sixth District responded to a call for service regarding a stabbing inside of a residence in the 5000 block of Just Street, Northeast. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple stab wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The decedent has been subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the State of Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland, where an autopsy will be performed to ascertain the cause and manner of death.
The decedent has been identified as 53 year-old James Byron Davis, of Northeast, Washington, DC.
On Monday, November 17, 2014, 23 year-old Davon Davis of Northeast, Washington, DC, was arrested by members of the homicide branch charging him with Murder II while Armed in connection to the homicide of James Byron Davis.
