It hurts to see your brothers & sisters in pain. Your MOM and TWIN will never be the same. I’m praying to God that justice will be served. Who ever took it upon themselves to take your life has got to feel like the biggest scum the earth! I know they’ve heard by now that you were a good kid, you were loved by your family, the community & your peers. These senseless killings have to stop! Now this “killer” shot Darius outside IN PUBLIC not even 2 blocks away from the police station. I just knew some of these fools would learn from first 48, & Homicide Watch D.C. that you can run but you can’t hide.
Praying for the family, The Police & The person who murdered you.
R.I.P. Darius.

I just hope I can find closure with all of this. Even as a friend of Chris’ there is so much that I would like to say, but can no longer say to him now that he’s gone.

This Comment of the Day comes from Karim, who writes about Andre Jackson. Police arrested two suspects Tuesday in the Nov. 2012 case.
Now, maybe Andre’s family will get closure. He didn’t deserve to die like that. From his grave, he cries out for justice.
The suspects, 23 year-old Byron Akeem Dunn and 22-year-old Marquette Tibbs, are scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Judge Ronna Beck at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
This Comment of the Day come from Anonymous for good reason who writes in about Lucki Pannell:
Oh, how my heart hurts today! 2 years, 3 suspects, no arrests. Why? I just really wish that people could solve their problems without violence. If they could, you’d still be here, and would have experienced everything a High School Senior should have. There’s such a whole in my heart when I think about you. My son hugged me so tight today when he left for school. He could tell I was so sad.

The case against Karl Pugh, accused of killing Quentin Ragland, ended in a mistrial yesterday when the jury deadlocked. A commenter expresses shock at the outcome:
This is just Crazy….The guy admitted to shooting “Q”, but the judge suppressed the evidence…..There allowing PCP to be an excuse for his behavior, but have the nerve to say someone else did it……Just disrespectful….The Judge and the Jurors that couldn’t come to a decision let that have been your family member or son you would want justice…RIP Q…Miss you Cuz…..Never Forgotten.
A new trial is scheduled to begin on Aug. 19.
This comment of the day comes from “krem_2013” who wrote in about Jason Liser.
Jason was my best friend. he was just with me that night. I had just asked him what was he about to do that night on my porch. he said he’s going to try to make it to his baby mother’s house after he leaves my house. I said cool. b safe. The next morning when I got the call that he had be shot and killed on Minnesota the night b4, I thought it was a joke when our dear friend called me. I said “stop playing”. He said “why would I joke about something like that?”. I then called the person Jason was staying with and asked him was Jason there, to confirm what I was told. He said ” no he is not here.” Then I called our other friend, to make sure and asked him is it true. He said yea. I cried for months. He went b4 his time and did not deserve to die like that. What Elishebalomax is true. It happened just like she said it did. I wish I could’ve just told him to chill at my house with me and my nephew that night. He might still be here today. RIP Jason Andrew Myers Liser. You will 4ever be missed but never 4gotten. I love bestfriend.

2013’s first Comment of the Day comes from Tanisha Hayes, who wrote in about Angelo Alphonso Payne. She writes:
I was his neighbor for more than 10 years and I will remember him as a polite, strong but silent type young man. Its a shame, no one deserve to die in the streets like that. I hope they catch whoever did this and they get what they deserve. May he rest in peace. He will be missed, God bless his family.
