A man was shot dead in Southeast DC late Tuesday night, WUSA, WJLA and The Washington Post report this morning.
According to WUSA,
Officials tell 9 NEWS NOW police responded to the intersection of 34th and D Streets just before 11:00 Tuesday night where they found a man lying on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. Police say the man was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead around 12:49 Wednesday morning.
MPD Sixth District Commander Robert Contee sent a message to the 6D listserve at about 11:30 Tuesday night. He wrote,
The Sixth District is currently investigating a shooting at 34th and D Street S.E.
