On Monday Judge Lynn Leibovitz has two scheduled felony arraignments. Derrell Bennett and Reginald Banks are expected to be arraigned each on a charge of first-degree murder while armed, in connection with the death of Keith Banks. Read the indictment here.
On Wednesday Judge Leibovitz is expecting Davon Holmes for a preliminary hearing in a second-degree murder case. Holmes is suspected in the shooting death of Marcellus Bailey on Aug. 3.
On Thursday Judge Thomas Motley is expecting Kwan Kearney for status hearings in both of the first-degree murder cases in which he is accused. Kearney is suspected in the death of Jamal Demetrius Wilson on Nov. 14, 2010 as well as the death of Joseph Alonzo Sharps Jr on Nov. 8, 2010. Jeremy Risper, Kearney’s co-defendant in the Wilson case, is also expected by Judge Motley for a status hearing Thursday. Risper has pleaded innocent in Wilson’s death and Kearney has pleaded innocent in both cases.
On Friday Kevin Benbow is expected for a preliminary hearing in a frist-degree murder case in Judge William Jackson. Benbow is suspected in the shooting death of Jinnell Barbara McQueen on Nov. 7, 2010.
Judge Thomas Motley is expecting John Bolton for a status hearing in a first-degree murder case. Bolton is suspected in the death of Christopher Fletcher. Motley is also expecting Terrance Brooks for sentencing in a second-degree murder case at 10:45 a.m. Brooks was convicted in the Jan. 2010 stabbing death of Zachery Funke.
Also Friday, Aaron Adams is expected by Judge Fisher for a status hearing in a second-degree murder case. Adams is suspected in the stabbing death of Garrett Armand White on May 29. Judge Leibovitz is expecting Deangelo Garner for a status hearing in a first-degree murder case. Garner is suspected in the death of Antonio Vela on Aug. 30, 2010.
