Each Friday, Homicide Watch brings you a list of upcoming hearings in the cases we follow. All hearings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted. To add an item to the listing, email homicidewatchdc [at] gmail.com. To see scheduled court hearings beyond next week, see our calendar.

No events are scheduled for next Monday through Thursday.

On FridayBrian Gaither and Johnnie Sweets are expected for a motion hearing at 2 p.m. with Judge William Jackson. Gaither and Sweets are two of six young people suspected in the kidnapping and death of missing teen Latisha Frazier in August 2010. They are charged with first-degree murder and kidnapping, among other charges.

Alexis Pineda is scheduled for a status hearing with Judge Robert Morin at 10:30 a.m. Pineda is charged with first-degree murder while armed in the shooting death of Jose Hernandez-Romero. He is scheduled for a trial June 11.

Curtis Patterson is scheduled for sentencing with Judge Thomas Motley at 11:30 a.m. Patterson pleaded guilty in March to possession of an illegal firearm and obstruction of justice in the death of Angelo Jones. The obstruction charge carries a maximum 30 years in jail, and the firearm charge carries a 10-year maximum.

Jewell Washington is scheduled for a felony status conference with Judge Morin at 10:30 a.m. Nineteen-year-old Washington is suspected of killing her 45-year-old half-brother Mark Goldring in October.

Michael Davis is expected for mental observation and preliminary hearings Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Judge Michael Ryan. Davis is suspected of assault with intent to kill while armed in at least two attacks in Petworth on April 26. The cases may be linked to the death of Gary Dederichs.

Rashid Caviness-Bey and Malachi Hargrove are expected for a status hearing with Judge Motley at 10 a.m. Friday. Both men are charged with first-degree murder while armed in the shooting death of Osman Al-Akbar. A juvenile is also suspected in the case.

Terrance McNeal is scheduled for a status hearing with Judge Morin Friday. McNeal is charged with first-degree murder while armed in the fatal stabbing of Charles Hicks. He is scheduled for a jury trial Sept. 24.
