SE DC Shooting Victim ID’ed as Ricardo Lancaster

MPD today identified he victim of a fatal shooting that took place in Southeast DC Thursday as Ricardo Mandrell Lancaster of Fort Washington, MD.

Homicide: 800 Block of Burns Street, SE

(Washington, DC)-Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating the fatal shooting which occurred in the 800 block of Burns Street, SE.

On Thursday, May 31, 2012, at approximately 6:53 am, members of the Sixth District responded to the 800 block of Burns Street, SE for the report of a man down. Upon arrival, they located an adult male behind the wheel of a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel arrived on the scene and determined that the victim had no signs consistent with life. The victim was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where he was pronounced dead.

The decedent is identified as 32-year-old Ricardo Mandrell Lancaster of Fort Washington, MD.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
