A shooting in Northwest DC Wednesday night, the Fourth of July, killed one person and injured three others. Early reports Wednesday night indicated that the deceased victim may be a juvenile.
“Guest” commented on the report, saying:
There is one dead that is under the age of 18
On Thursday morning, the following message was published on the Fourth District listserv:
One of the victims from this shooting was pronounced deceased. Officers and Homicide Detectives continue to actively investigate this case. We continue to ask that anyone with information please call 202-727-9099.

The Washington Post reports:
Police said that a group of people were watching a small fireworks show in the 5000 block of First Street NW when someone opened fire, shooting four people, including two juveniles.
Two of the victims reportedly ran to nearby Gallatin Street, where police were called.
Reports WTOP:
Lanier says it looks like a group of men were hanging out in the courtyard of an apartment complex on 1st Street NW when another group passed by and opened fire. It’s not clear whether the groups of men knew each other.
Reports WUSA:
Police say there is no motive and no suspect information available at this time, but several persons have been questioned and police are hoping witnesses will come forward with details.
