Week Ahead

On Monday, Anthony Hatton, Jekwan Smith, Johnnie Harris and Stanley Moghalu are expected to resume trial before Judge Henry Green. The men are suspected of being members of a crew called “21st and Vietnam.” As members of the group, they are suspected of taking part in a series of attacks that took the lives of Steven Moore, Tyrell Fogle and Isaiah Sheffield.

The Marvin Palencia trial is scheduled to resume before Judge John Ramsey Johnson on Monday morning. Palencia is charged with first-degree murder and related weapons offenses in connection with the shooting death of Jacobo Vazquez.

Davon Holmes is expected for a jury trial in front of Judge Ronna Beck on Monday. Holmes is charged with first-degree murder while armed in connection with the August 2011 stabbing death of Marcellus Terrell Bailey.

On Wednesday, Gary Montgomery is scheduled for a status hearing before Judge Robert Morin. Montgomery is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the February 2012 stabbing death of Deoni Jones.

Thursday, Daren Vaughn is expected for a felony arraignment in front of Judge Johnson. Vaughn is suspected in the September 2012 stabbing death of Tyrell Avery Swann.

DeAndre Shaheed, Floyd Neal and Lafeyette Robinson are scheduled for a preliminary hearing Thursday before Judge Herbert Dixon. The men are charged in connection with the shooting death of Akinwole Olu Williams.

Donzell Butler is scheduled for a status hearing Thursday at 3:30 p.m. with Judge Johnson. Butler is suspected in the July 2012 stabbing death of Charles Anthony Scott Jr.

On Friday, James Brown is scheduled for a felony status conference at 11:30 a.m. before Judge Morin. Brown is suspected in the shooting death of 22-year-old Darnell Rivers.

James Sandidge is expected for a trial readiness hearing Friday at 11:30 a.m. in front of Judge Morin. Sandidge is suspected in the 2011 shooting death of Keenan Jerel Lee.

Joshua Mebane is scheduled for a felony status conference with Judge Dixon Friday. Mebane is charged with felony murder in connection with the shooting death of taxi driver Quadar Muhammad.

Kevin Brown is expected for a preliminary hearing in front of Judge Beck Friday. Brown has been held in connection with the shooting death of 19-year-old James Edward Dean.

Mark Coates is scheduled for a preliminary hearing with Judge Dixon Friday. Coates has been held in connection with the strangulation death of 56-year-old Leroy Studevant.

Ricardo Mitchell is expected to be sentenced by Judge Lynn Leibovitz at 10:30 a.m. Friday. Mitchell pled guilty in April to second-degree murder in connection with the shooting death of Wyatt Earp Robinson.

Michael Marshall is scheduled for a felony arraignment Friday with Judge Beck. Marshall is suspected in the 2011 shooting death of Antonio Mervin Headspeth.
