Several media outlets report that a fatal shooting occurred in Northwest D.C. Thursday evening.
According to NBC Washington, around 11:30 Thursday night, two Howard University students were walking in the 700 block of Fairmont Street Northwest, when they were approached by two men who attempted to rob the students. One of the students was shot and later died at the hospital, NBC reports.
