A double shooting in Northeast DC left one man dead early Saturday morning, WJLA and NBC Washington report.
According to reports, a man and woman were found shot in the 5000 block of East Capitol Street, Northeast at about 4:30 a.m. The woman was taken to a hospital; the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was the second of two fatal shootings overnight. Earlier, a man was shot and killed in Northwest D.C.
Update: Jamie Jenkins, who was taken to the hospital after this shooting, has died. The man killed at the scene was her brother, Jamahl Jenkins.
