A man was shot and killed shortly after midnight in Southeast DC and police are searching for suspects in connection with the case, according to media reports.
Reports the Washington Post:
The shooting occurred about midnight in the 2600 block of Bowen Road SE., a few blocks from the Anacostia Metro station. Police said an adult man was pronounced dead on the scene and the four men escaped in a black Hyundai Sonata.

Officers were called to the 2600 block of Bowen Road SE just before midnight for a report of a shooting and found the victim lying in the street. Authorities say the victim had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
WJLA reports that the men were wearing dark clothing. NBC Washington adds that they were wearing hoods.

Homicide: 2500 Block of Sayles Place, Southeast
(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred in the 2500 block of Sayles Place, Southeast.
On Thursday, March 13, 2014, at approximately 11:57 pm, an off-duty officer heard sounds of gunshots while in the 2600 block of Bowen Road, Southeast. The officer located an adult male in the 2500 block of Sayles Place, Southeast, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene and determined that there were no signs consistent with life. The decedent was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for the District of Columbia, pending an autopsy.
The decedent has been identified as 23-year-old Demencio Lewis of Southeast, Washington, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
