On Monday,
Donte Graves is scheduled for a trial readiness hearing at 10:00 a.m. before Judge Russell Canan. Graves is charged with second-degree murder, armed robbery and five related weapons offenses in connection with the shooting death of Tyrone Joyner.
Jurors will continue deliberating in the trial of David and Montez Warren, the brothers charged with 14 criminal counts in connection with the shooting death of Ervin Lamont Griffin. Jurors have been deliberating for four days since closing arguments were heard.
Jury deliberations will also continue in the trial of four men charged with 80 criminal counts including conspiracy, first-degree murder, obstruction of justice, assault, and weapons charges related to the deaths of Paul Jones, Sean Robinson and Jamal Coates. Prosecutors have argued that Keir Johnson and Lester Williams are responsible for the shooting death of Coates, who was killed leaving a friend’s funeral in the U Street corridor in September 2010.
On Tuesday,
Jekwan Smith is scheduled for a status hearing before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Smith is charged in connection with the shooting death of Isaiah Sheffield. During a trial last year, jurors were unable to reach a verdict in connection to his charges.
On Wednesday,
Albrecht Muth is scheduled for sentencing with Judge Russell Canan for the strangulation death of 91-year-old Viola Herms Drath. Jurors deliberated for one day before announcing their verdict that Muth was guilty of first-degree premeditated murder with aggravating circumstances.
Daren Vaughn is scheduled for a trial readiness hearing at 4:00 p.m. before Judge John Ramsey Johnson. Vaughn is charged with premeditated first-degree murder, felony murder, armed robbery and related weapons offenses in connection with the stabbing death of Tyrell Avery Swann.
James Robinson is scheduled for a felony status conference before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Robinson is suspected of second-degree murder while armed in connection with the shooting death of Jason Alexander Murphy. In a police interview, Robinson denied involvement in Murphy’s death.
Melvin Linkins is scheduled for a felony status conference before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Linkins is suspected in the fire and shooting death of Marc Emilio Dancy. Linkins was released in September 2013 after Judge Herbert Dixon did not find probable cause but a grand jury delivered an indictment in November 2013.
Michael Coleman is scheduled for a felony status conference before Judge Lynn Leibovitz. Coleman is suspected of second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of Candance Reed. He has been waiting an indictment since his arrest in November 2013.
On Thursday,
Justin Wilson is scheduled for a felony status conference before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Wilson was arrested in October 2013 in connection with the shooting death of Freddy Bernard Hawkins.
On Friday,
Alexander Gomez-Enamorado is scheduled to be sentenced at 11:00 a.m. before Judge Russell Canan. Gomez-Enamorado has been awaiting sentencing since August 2013 when a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder while armed, felony murder, conspiracy, robbery, burglary, tampering with evidence and obstruction of justice in connection with the stabbing death of Miguel Angel Ventura.
Antoine Little is scheduled for a trial readiness hearing at 11:30 a.m. before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Little is charged with second-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of James Eric Cain in March 2013.
Carlos Parks and Troy Robinson are scheduled for a felony status conference at 11:00 a.m. before Judge Jennifer Anderson. They are suspected killing Tywayne Thompson in an attempt to steal his scooter.
Corey Stoddard is scheduled for a felony status conference at 11:00 a.m. before Judge Russell Canan. Stoddard is suspected of voluntary manslaughter in connection with the death of Kevin Lewis Crouch.
David Jamal Wilson is scheduled for a felony status conference before Judge Jennifer Anderson. Wilson is suspected of first-degree murder in connection with the stabbing death of Howard Venable Jr. He has been waiting an indictment since his arrest in February 2013.
DeAndre Shaheed, Floyd Neal, and Lafeyette Robinson are scheduled for a felony status conference at 10:00 a.m. before Judge Jennifer Anderson. The men are suspected in connection with the shooting death of Akinwole Olu Williams.
Donzell Butler is scheduled to be sentenced at 10:30 a.m. by Judge John Ramsey Johnson. Butler pleaded guilty to the stabbing death of Charles Anthony Scott Jr in January.
Kevin Charles is scheduled for a status hearing at 1:00 p.m. before Judge Henry Greene. Charles pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter while armed and conspiracy to commit a crime of violence in connection with the December 2011 shooting death of Steven Curtis Moore.
Kevin McDarin Johnson is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Judge Rhonda Winston. Johnson is suspected of second-degree murder in connection with the strangulation death of his girlfriend, 48-year-old Detra Martin.
Lillian Alvarado is scheduled for a mental health hearing at 11:00 a.m. before Judge John Ramsey Johnson. Alvarado is suspected of dismembering her newborn child.
Linda Lee Bury is scheduled for a status hearing. Bury pleaded guilty in connection with the shooting death of taxi cab driver Quadar Muhammad. Bury’s co-defendant, Joshua Mebane is pursuing an insanity defense.
Tisheena Brown is scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Judge Lynn Leibovitz. Brown is suspected of administering a fatal dose of a prescription anti-nausea drug to her one-month-old son Hakeem Brown.
