A shooting in the 1900 block of H Street Northeast killed 23-year-old Darryl Delonta Jacobs early Monday morning, according to MPD.
Police officers responding to a call for a shooting at approximately 12:29 a.m. found Jacobs suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Jacobs was then transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Homicide: 19th and H Street, Northeast
(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide which occurred at 19th and H Street, Northeast.
On Monday, June 30, 2014, at approximately 12:29 am, police officers from the Fifth District responded to a call for shooting at 19th and H Street, Northeast. Upon arrival, they located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The decedent was subsequently transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where an autopsy will be performed to determine cause and manner of death.
The decedent has been identified as 23-year-old Darryl Delonta Jacobs of Northeast, Washington, DC.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
