Police have identified 29-year-old Jabari Fields of Landover, Maryland, as the man killed in a shooting early Monday morning.
Officers responding to a report of a shooting found three men suffering from gunshot wounds. (Earlier reports called the incident a double shooting.) All were transported to a local hospital, where Fields died of his injuries.

Detectives are looking for a black male with a slim build in a camo hoodie. They believe the suspect is driving a gray Monte Carlo with Maryland tags 2AY2516.

Homicide in the 5300 block of 8th Street NW
(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a triple shooting that has resulted in a fatality. On Sunday, October 20, 2014, at approximately 2:43 am, members of the Fourth District responded to a call for the report of a shooting in the 5300 block of 8th Street, Northwest. Upon arrival, they located three adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital, where one of the victims, 29-year-old Jabari Fields of Landover, Md. succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
