A 25 year-old D.C. man was arrested Friday for the September 11 shooting that killed Titus Jackson, MPD announced Friday.
Police say Vernon Hedrick is suspected of first-degree murder while armed.
Jackson, 26, was discovered by police after officers responded to a call for the sounds of gunshots in the 5200 block of Clay Street Northeast.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch have announced that an arrest has been made in the fatal shooting which occurred in the 5200 block of Clay Street, Northeast.
On Thursday, September 11, 2014 at approximately 6:10 pm members of the Sixth District responded to a call for the sounds of gunshots/man down. Upon arrival, they located the victim 26-year-old Titus Jackson of Northeast, DC.
On Friday, November 21, 2014, 25 year-old Vernon Hedrick of Northeast, Washington, DC, was arrested by members of the homicide branch charging him with First Degree Murder while Armed in connection to the homicide of Titus Jackson.
