Baltimore Man Arrested in Delonte Hemphill’s Murder

William Jackson, 27, was arrested Thursday on suspicion of second-degree murder while armed for the shooting death of 22-year-old Delonte Hemphill.

On July 13, police officers found Hemphill suffering from a gunshot wound in the 3500 block of 6th Street, Southeast. Hemphill died in a local hospital.

Arrest Made in July 2014 Homicide:
3500 block of 6th Street, SE

(Washington, DC) – Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch announced today an arrest has been made in the homicide of 22-year-old Delonte Hemphill, which occurred on Sunday, July 13, 2014 in the 3500 block of 6th Street, SE.

On Thursday, December 18, 2014, at approximately 2 pm, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 27-year-old William Jackson of no fixed address in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Jackson was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant charging him with Second Degree Murder While Armed in the shooting death of Delonte Hemphill.
