On Monday, Theodore Spencer is expected by Judge Thomas Motley for a second day of a preliminary hearing. Spencer is one of three men suspected in the death of Glenn Scarborough in Trinidad in June.

Terry Jimenez is due Tuesday before Judge William Jackson for a second day of a preliminary hearing. Jimenez is one of three men suspected in the shooting death of Robert Foster Jr. following a Caribbean Festival in Northwest DC this summer. The hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m.

On Wednesday, Patricia Cave is expected for a preliminary hearing in front of Judge Lynn Leibovitz. Cave is suspected in the stabbing death of her boyfriend, Lamont Warren.

Friday, Reginald Vance and Derrell Bennett are due for a status conference with Judge Lynn Leibovitz. They are suspected in the shooting death of Keith Banks last November. The case has not yet been indicted.

Also Friday, Malik Shabbaz is expected for a preliminary hearing in connection with the fatal assault on Demetrius Dempsey in June 2007. Judge Gerald Fisher is assigned to the case.

Anthony Anderson is due to be sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter for the death of 48-year-old Tyrone Smith last June in Peworth. Anderson is expected in Judge William Jackson’s courtroom.

Terry Jimenez, the first to be arrested in connection with the fatal shooting following DC’s Caribbean Festival, is due in court Monday for a preliminary hearing. He’s suspected in the shooting death of Robert Foster Jr. He’s expected in Judge Jackson’s courtroom (302) at 9:25 a.m.

On Thursday, Christopher Martin is expected to be arraigned on three charges including second-degree murder in Judge Leibovitz’ courtroom (310) at 9:30 a.m. Martin is suspected of killing his mother, Patricia Ann Martin. She was stabbed to death in May 2010.

Highlights this week are two preliminary hearings, one for Rodney McIntyre suspected of killing his daughter, Ebony Franklin, and one for Monquel Cook, suspected of killing Michael Milton Wilson. Also this week, Damon Sams, who pleaded guilty in the death of Ashely McRae, is due to be sentenced. Daquan Johnson is also scheduled for sentencing for the Feb. 2010 death of Carlos B. Alexander.

The Week Ahead

Week Ahead

Next Week in DC Superior Court:

  • Kwan Kearney is due before Judge Thomas Motley in two murder cases. Kearney is suspected of killing 19-year-old Jamal Wilson and 17-year-old Joseph Alonzo Sharps Jr. in two separate shooting incidents in November. Jeremy Risper is also charged in Wilson’s death and Larnell Allen is also charged in Sharps’ death. Both cases are scheduled for status hearings on Tuesday in courtroom 216 (Motley).
  • Eric Foreman is expected in court Wednesday for a status hearing in front of Judge Gerald Fisher in courtroom 320. Foreman is accused of killing Catholic University grad student Neil Godleski. The hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
  • And finally, on Friday, Damien Pannell is due in Motley’s courtroom for a preliminary hearing in a second-degree murder while armed case. Pannell is accused in the fatal stabbing of Glenn Bailey in a Notheast DC parking lot last month. Pannell is represented by attorney Madalyn Harvey. That hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m.
